  Dear fellow West Peorians and future residents,

     As the Mayor of the City of West Peoria, I would  like

  to welcome you to our city! We are a small town that

  strives to maintain an atmosphere of comfort among  

  neighbors, friends and family. Our community is a hidden 

  treasure in the greater Peoria - Pekin Metropolitan Area,

  often perceived as one big neighborhood.

     In keeping with our small-town atmosphere, annual 

  community celebrations are held each summer including

  the West Peoria Jamboree in June; the 4th of July Parade; 

  and Night Out Against Crime in September. These fun

  activities help to promote civic involvement and encourage

  unity among residents.

     As a community, we have completed the MAPPING Your

  Future Program - a strategic visioning and planning  

  process. Community members met together

  last year to come up with a strategy to pursue a “better” West Peoria. The goals put forth from

  this process were: Town Beautification, Economic Development, Educational Excellence,

  Community Services for Youth & Elderly, and Crime Prevention & Safety.

     As a local government, we are here to serve the community with fairness and consistency. If

  you have any questions or concerns, or if you are interested in relocating to West Peoria,
